If you've been comparing RCF speakers for a venue in Riyadh, you've probably run into both the ART series and the COMPACT series and wondered what actually separates them. They're both active two-way speakers from the same manufacturer, but they're built for different jobs.
ART series: built to move
The ART series (ART 708-A through ART 945-A, SAR 2,447–8,566) is RCF's line of general-purpose active speakers — the kind you'd put on a pole stand for a wedding, load into a van for a mobile DJ set, or use as a stage monitor. They're designed to be set up, used, and packed away again, event after event. If your speakers need to travel — between venues, between event halls, between a corporate conference one week and a live band the next — this is the series to look at.
COMPACT series: built to stay
The COMPACT series (SAR 2,836–12,237) is designed for permanent, fixed installation: mounted in a restaurant, a retail store, or a hotel lobby and left running for years. It includes weatherproof models (the COMPACT C 45 WP) rated for outdoor terraces and courtyards, which the ART series isn't built for. If the speaker is going up once and staying there, COMPACT is the more durable and appropriate choice — and usually the more cost-effective one over the life of the installation, since it's not paying for the ruggedized, portable enclosure the ART series needs.
